As part of the Houzz Pro team in London, Harry helps home professionals manage and expand their businesses and connect with homeowners. When he’s not at work, Harry enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and as a huge film fan, he loves checking out the latest movies at the cinema.

How has your role evolved from when you first started?
When I first joined, I was helping home professionals to get started on Houzz and teaching them how to get the most from the platform. Fast-forward three years and my role is now focused on helping pros to build their brands and manage their businesses. I listen to their challenges and create customized solutions to help them achieve their goals. The route to career progression is very clear here and as long as you apply yourself and work hard, there is no saying how far you could go within the company.

What do you like most about your job?  
I enjoy speaking to the different home professionals we have on the platform and helping them grow and better manage their businesses. I love when professionals tell me about the amazing clients that have found them on Houzz. 

What’s something that has surprised you about working at Houzz?
It has to be how well Houzz looks after employees, particularly in terms of training. You really feel like they are investing in you and it’s not just for new members, we have excellent learning and development programs for those that have been at Houzz for years.

What is your favorite Houzz Pro feature?  
Houzz Pro, in my opinion, is the best solution Houzz has ever offered as it allows pros to easily centralize everything in one place and work more efficiently. My favorite feature would have to be the lead management system. Professionals can easily manage their pipeline, stay super organized and win more clients.

What is a typical workday like for you? 
Busy but in a good way! I spend the day on calls with professionals so that I can learn about their business needs and build a tailored strategy to help them to achieve their goals. Days fly by at Houzz. 

How have you used Houzz at home?  
My family and I used the platform to look for ideas for a wetroom for my little sister who has disabilities. We searched the photostream and found a bathroom photo that we loved. We could see that the professional was based locally, so after looking at his profile, we knew he’d be perfect. The professional did an amazing job, and we were happy to leave a review to ensure other people knew how great our experience was with them.
