Since Houzz was founded in 2009 as a side project by our married co-founders Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen to help with their home remodel, we’ve had one mission: to provide the best experience for home design. We’ve worked hard to build a single experience where you can find everything you need to improve your home, whether you’re decorating a small room or building a custom home – and everything in between. From finding inspiration to getting advice, to hiring the best professionals for your project, we want to be there to help you every step of the way.

One of the biggest things you’ve told us is that you not only want to discover and learn about products through Houzz, but that you also want to be able to buy them directly on our website and mobile app. You want us to close the loop when it comes to the process of designing your home, so that there’s one place for you to get everything you need.

Recently we introduced the ability to buy directly on Houzz – products for every style and every budget, from backsplashes to bedding, from amazing sellers of all sizes from all over the world. We’re excited to share that the Houzz Marketplace beta is now open to all users in the contiguous United States and is coming soon to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, with over one million products and materials available for purchase, whether you’re on your desktop or mobile device. Now you can be inspired about your home, connect with service professionals, and buy products, all in one place.

Shoppers like Connie Lawson of Atlanta, GA, have already been using Houzz to buy products that she’s discovered. “Houzz offers such a simple way to shop. You can get inspired and buy what you see with one click. The huge selection and variety of merchandise that Houzz offers makes shopping much easier and less time consuming than having to search multiple sites for such diverse items as a good chef’s knife and garden statuary or a dining room table and a laundry station. I’ve now purchased several things on Houzz and absolutely love the convenience of being able to easily purchase them on the website and app.”

Sellers like Masins Fine Furnishings in Bellevue, Washington have been bringing one-of-a-kind products to Houzz. Masins is a fourth-generation business that began selling online for the first time through Houzz. Dave Masins, president of Masins Fine Furnishings says, “Houzz is more than just about selling things, it’s about providing people with the whole experience around home design and giving them the opportunity to instantly and easily purchase what they love. Houzz has helped us to grow our business and reach new customers in a way that we would not have been able to on our own.”

We’re still in the early days, and providing you with the best experience means everything to us. As such we’ll continue to work hard to build the Houzz Marketplace, by adding more wonderful sellers and products, and integrating the shopping experience with the rest of Houzz.

We hope that you will continue to provide us with valuable suggestions on what you would like to see as we evolve the Houzz Marketplace via our feedback form at support.houzz.com. Sellers interested in the Houzz Marketplace can learn more at houzz.com/sell.
